Just another day

Today was a rough one! Corinne actually cried when I put her in Daddy's car today to go to the babysitters. That is not a good way to start a Monday morning. My kids at school are no longer the angels they were a few weeks ago and are really testing the limits. We got home and had a good time playing and Corinne helped with things like folding clothes and unloading the dishwasher. Hopefully this week goes fast!

Other weekend come and gone

This weekend was very busy. Yesterday we went to my parents for the day and Corinne loved playing at Grandma and Grandpa's. Dominic and Aunt Carrie also came over and the kids played together. Sometimes it makes me pretty sad that we live just far enough away from my parents to not be able to see them all the time. We had fun and my Mom is going to watch Corinne on Thursday for us. Today we hit the ground running when Corinne woke up at 6 o'clock ready to go. We went to the Buddy Walk and walked with our friend Josh and Nicholas. It was a lot of fun and a great cause. Then my sister came up and we went shopping for a few clothes for me but did not have much luck. I got home and we finished up our night as we always do, dinner, bath and bed. Corinne did not put up much of a fight to go to bed tonight.

We had matching shirts and I did not realize it to later in the day!

What a wonderful world!

TGIF

Thank Goodness it is Friday. We had a long and busy week and I am glad to be getting ready for some down time. Corinne is such a ham these days and continues to be so social. We got home at our usual time and then took Zeus to the vet, again (don't ask you don't want to know, but he is fine just smelly). After taking Zeus to the vet we went for a family walk at a local park and Corinne loved being out in the fall breeze. We are enjoying every minute of this weather because I know it will not be long until we are stuck inside again.

Other busy couple of days

Yesterday was a busy day as usual. School has been very stressful this week and has made it hard to still love my job. Anyway we are getting by and Corinne's smiling face is what gets me through the day. She is getting more and more daring and has the bruises to prove it. Yesterday I introduced Corinne to pots and pans so that I could get dinner ready and she loved playing with them. However she got so carried away with the pots and pans she got a little carried away and hit her head on the floor. Then this morning at 5:30 when Corinne was up because she has decided that she does not need sleep any more, she was playing near the end of the bed and slipped and hit the same cheek. Tonight we had swim lesson and Corinne was a little fish. She just loves the water so much!

Not enough time

Well the weekend has come and gone and I can't believe how fast it goes. Yesterday we went to church and then came home so Corinne could take a nap. She napped and we caught on some sleep ourselves. Since Corinne has not been sleeping again I was exhausted. We got up and went to the store as a family. We did not get much house work done but it doesn't seem to matter as long as I can spend time with her. Today was the same old same old and this is probably going to be a long week after having two days off last week. It is hard to believe but Corinne is 10 months old yesterday! Unbelievable how fast time goes!

Good Days

We have been enjoying the beautiful late summer/early fall weather. Yesterday we took it easy and just hung out all night. On Saturday we went to our friends Tom and Becki's house for an OSU party. These are the friends we met this summer at swim classes and had many play dates with before I had to go back to work. It was so fun to watch the girls play with each other a little more as they get older. Then we just ran a few errands and then played out home! Here are some of the pictures that we had taken two weeks ago.

Up and running

Shortly after I wrote on our blog on Tuesday night we got our power back! It came back on about 11:30 after coming on and off a couple of times. Wednesday I was back to school and to say the least everyone was a little out of sorts. We had a low key night and then I had to run to the store to replace all the food we lost. Tonight we had our first swim class of the fall and we had a good time. It is going to be a little different then it was in the summer because the summer class was pretty laid back and this one is pretty intense. Hopefully we will have an uneventful couple of days!

And still no power

Well I am sitting her with a flash light on my head typing quickly before the battery on the lab top dies to write this. We are now into our 53 hour without power and it does not appear to be coming on soon. Every one of the surrounding subdivision have had power since at least yesterday morning some of them never even losing power in the first place. We had to throw so much food away it made me sick and I will really hate to see how much we will have to spend just to have something to eat. We were lucky though it appears that we had no damage to our house and everything else is getting back to normal. I have been off school for the last two days because the schools either did not have power or had too much debris to hold school. Jeremy, Corinne and I went to the zoo yesterday and had a great time. It felt like we were skipping school or something though because there are not many people at the zoo on a Monday in September. Today Jeremy went back to work and Corinne and I did a little shopping and then went to lunch with our friend Karey. I was glad to have the days with her but now worry about how we will get through the winter with only 3 calamity days left. I get the feeling we will be making up some days later in the year. I am over the no power thing though.
Before the storm hit we went to Wheeling this weekend to see all of our family in West Virginia. We had a good time just spending time with everyone and Corinne was a real ham. She was really interacting with her cousins and loved playing in Grandma and Pappy's play room. On Sunday we had breakfast with GeGe and Jeff and GeGe bought Corinne a really cute cat costume for Corinne to wear at Halloween. Then we drove through the Hurricane back to Lancaster to pick up Zeus. I have never seen branches flying through the air like that. They said the winds topped 75 mph. Since we knew power was out at our house we just spent some extra time at Grandma and Grandpa Hunt's and then gave Corinne a bath by candle light. What a weird couple of days. Hopefully my next blog will be done with a cold pop in my hand, tv on and lights but we will see! I am back to work tomorrow so it should be interesting to get ready in the morning. I guess it will be ponytails for me and Jeremy says HI!

Busy Week

This week has been an extremely busy but we are falling into a routine. Corinne is enjoying playing with her friends all day and my kids at school seeming to be understanding the schedule. Still it is a serious balancing act. Corinne continues to get into everything and have the bumps, scraps and bruises to prove it. Today she stood straight up in the bath tube without holding onto anything. She continues to let go will playing so now we are just waiting for the first steps where she stays on her feet. She really likes to climb us now and was cracking up while wrestling Daddy.

Two Short

It has been a crazy couple of days. My kids at school finally started on Thursday and it went surprisingly well. Then on Friday it was another busy work day. When I picked Corinne up the babysitter told me that she had not really napped so I knew that it was going to be a short night for her and it was!
On Saturday we spent the morning relaxing and playing and then we were off and running again. We went to our friend Jack's First Birthday party. It is hard to believe that he is one already. We stayed there most of the day because the Armen's were also having a Fisher Price play party later in the day. Of course Corinne did not take a nap so she feel asleep while is was eating dinner because she was so tired.
Today we also had a busy day. Corinne had her nine month pictures taken and they were so cute. I will post some when we get the pictures. Then we came home and played when Corinne yet again would not take a nap. When they say a 20 minute catnap kills a real nap they are right! Right now I am really trying to be positive and enjoy every moment that I have with her and not worry about going back to work.

Hard Days

Today was my last day at school with out kids and I am feeling a little stressed. Corinne was so silly today in the morning. She has been doing this snort laugh thing and she cracks herself up. She is such a ham! In the evening we all sat down to dinner and Corinne completely fed herself. She is growing so fast that it is scary!

Labor Day and Back to Work

Yesterday we just spent the day together. Corinne eat lunch for the first time and I think that she was ready. She really wants nothing to do with baby food anymore and just wants to feed herself. She is pulling to stand all the time and is even letting go to play with toys and standing. Unfortunately Mommy has a cold that she is not sure where she got so she is trying to get through that.

On Tuesday we had to go back to work and Corinne went back to the babysitters. She was very happy when I picked her up though. It is sad to leave her during the day but she is loving being with her friends. At this point I will just work for the breaks that I can have with her!
