Easter and Birthday Parties

It has been another busy couple of weeks. Work has been very busy for me because I am right in the middle of the transition process for my kids who will we going to kindergarten. This means lots of meetings and paperwork but I will only have a few left after we go back to school from Spring Break. My Spring Break started Friday and I am so happy to have some time off with Corinne! It was a long haul between Christmas and Spring Break but the best news is when we go back there will only be 7 weeks left of school! Jeremy is settling into his new job and of course passed the required tests in just two weeks time. The next two weeks we will continue to work on training from his office and then will leave for Phoenix at the end of April for two weeks.

Last weekend was a very busy one for us. Jeremy turned 33 on Friday and I feel guilty but we really did not do anything for his birthday. Poor Jeremy knew last year when Dominic, our nephew, was born on his birthday that he was going to take a back seat for a while. On Saturday we headed to Lancaster for Dominic's first birthday party and had a blast. The kids played in Dominic's new ball pit and with some of is his new toys. Saturday night after Dominic party we headed to Grandma's, gave Corinne a bath and then hit the road for West Virginia. It was a long day but very fun and Corinne was a trooper.

Sunday morning we had breakfast with GeGe and Jeff and they gave Corinne her Easter presents, a dancing bunny and some very cute spring and summer outfits. Then we went back to Pappy and Grandma's to get ready for Madison's 4th birthday party. Jeremy's sister's family live way out in the country and we always see lots of neat things when we go to there house. Corinne loves to just run around the fields and have fun. We saw lots of horses this time and they even came over to say hi. It was such a beautiful day and a great party!

After the party we started the long trip home and Corinne slept most of the way. We took the scenic route home just because the ride on 70 gets a little old. It took us a little longer to get home but it was a beautiful day for a drive. We got Corinne to my parents again, gave her dinner and bath then headed home at nearly 9 o'clock. It was a long weekend but fun.

Last week was fairly uneventful with Jeremy in training again and me finishing my week at school. On Friday finally made it to my days off and was so excited! It was a yucky first day to be off but I had to get blood work done and get some shopping done so we braved the rain and went out. Corinne did not like the lab I had to go to, to get the blood draw and had a large fit while there but calmed down after we left. We then ran to Target, where all Easter Bunny's shop:) and got everything we need for the big weekend. Corinne was so tired that she feel asleep in the cart it was the saddest and funniest thing I have seen in a while. Of course when we got home though she did not want to take a nap! So we decided to just go to the store and of course she was talking to all the people at the store! Corinne had also been fighting a cold with a wet cough so I think she was just trying to stay awake!

Saturday we were suppose to go to Wheeling to celebrate Easter but since Corinne had a cold and so did Jeremy we decided it was best not to go. Jeremy's stepmom is having surgery on Tuesday and we did not want her to get anything plus it was going to be a lot to go out and back in one day. Instant we stayed here and did some much needed house cleaning and yard work. Corinne "helped" Daddy a lot with the mulch spreading. I was bummed when I was cleaning my spam box today and realized that I missed an invite to an Egg Hunt at our friends Jerri and Carl's house because of spam! Sorry Jerri and Carl!

Sunday morning we woke up and the Easter Bunny had been here! This year the Easter Bunny brought a Magna Doodle, Goldfish crackers and a toothbrush and toothpaste. I know it sounds weird but Corinne loves to brush her teeth so she was thrilled. She just kept saying teeth, teeth! We went to Lancaster to go to church with my parents and Corinne was very good in church. It was funny though because she kept saying Jesus, Jesus (at our church Jesus is up on the cross so I think she was just looking for that). We had a nice Easter dinner and then the kids got to do a Easter egg hunt. We decided to do it inside though since Dominic is not walking yet and it was pretty chilly. We also took turns putting on the bunny costume that someone gave us. Corinne loved it and Dominic hated it! Which is really a switch for these too! It was a really nice day and fun to watch the kids with all of the fun things.
